Located in the heart of the quaint town of Victoria, Va is The Uptown Inn. Enjoy a whole suite, not just a bedroom, for the price of a single hotel room! Suite includes a bedroom, eat in kitchen, sitting room, and full bath. Refinished original pine floors dating to early 1900's await you in the fully equipped eat-in kitchen. A classic vintage table with high bar stools provides the perfect respite to overlook Victoria's Main Street. A desk for your laptop or the perfect writing space provides you a comfortable work space. You may access free wi fi from the coffeehouse downstairs. Plush queen sized bed in the large bedroom. A 32 inch flat screen TV in the sitting room with dvd player and small collection of dvd's and books. A nice futon in the sitting room also folds out to a full bed to sleep a couple extra guests. Enjoy the full bath with new floors and updated fixtures. Throughout the suite are prints from local artist Eldridge Bagley that accent Southside Va living.
Room rental comes with breakfast from Uptown Coffee Cafe downstairs. From omletes, to french toast, bagels, waffles, scones, muffins and more! Uptown Coffee Cafe is known in the area for having a great mix of live music on Friday evenings from 7-9pm. An "open mic" live music event at the library on Saturday nights is a block away. You are walking distance to the railroad park, day spa, flower and gift shop, antique mall, banks, library and the "rails to trails" (converting of old railroad tracks into hiking, biking, and horse back riding trails.....work still in progress) Normally, once a month Victoria Auction has a auction right across the street that brings folks in from all over. Located three miles from the airport and No Limits Skydiving, where you can jump out of a perfectly good plane. Food Lion is a few blocks away for any in-suite cooking needs.
Victoria is located 30 mins from Farmville, or South HIll Va, 20 mins from Ft. Pickett, approx 1 hour and 15 mins from Richmond or Lynchburg Va and Durham, NC. Lake Gaston and Buggs Island lake are also a short drive away. Twin Lakes State Park is located nearby in Prince Edward County.
